There is no past or future, only the neverendingnow.
This quote, which is attributed to Albert Einstein, is the inspiration behind our name. To us, this statement epitomizes what it means to be letterpress printers in the year 2000. Letterpress printing today is a labor of love, for the equipment is terribly heavy, the process intensely time-consuming, and the skill difficult to master.

Modern day printing technology now enable printers to produce work faster and more cost-effectively than ever before. However, the rewards of letterpress are immense for those souls who seek it out. The lasting feel of the impression, the rich typographic legacy, the satisfaction that comes only from works produced by hand. It is these attributes that have enabled letterpress printing to continue to flourish after more than five centuries.

Today we are so occupied with time that we often let it control our very lives. Indeed, it takes a great deal of time to produce quality letterpress work. So when you receive a letterpressed piece, you receive with it a small piece of the printer who made it. Most people would not see the logic in spending several hours producing a card that could be "printed off a laser printer in 15 seconds." It takes time and patience to appreciate what is around us. Often we must look more than once to discover a hidden beauty.

The beauty of letterpress is there for you if you desire it. Take the time, don't think about what you haven't done or what you must do, think about the now, savor the moment. We'll do the same.
